Today's Tip for CaCHuPs (Cat Children of Human People): Humans are weird and not nearly as smart as they think they are. When kitties love on each other, we know when a nip means 'I think you are great' and when it means 'I think you taste great' and when it means 'I don't like you at all.' Humans often misinterpret the "nip." Use it sparingly because you might be telling your human that you are really fond of them and they may swat you. This is an excellent time for a strategically placed hairball (in the toe of their foot coverings is a great place). If you have a smart human (I am lucky enough to have two), this will never be a problem. They know a gentle nibble means 'If you were smaller, I would eat you. But for now, I like you just the way you are.'
Thankfully, they invented full color books and now we can see just how pretty the orange tabby cat in the book really is! {Daddy Tim editorial note: Steven Kellogg actually re-did all of the illustrations in 2008. The original edition was in 1973 with three color illustrations} There is one picture near the end, though were the cat's head is all weird shaped. That's when I knew these were human made pictures and not real things. Still, I liked it well enough and I think little humans would like it too.
