They are planning to go out and see the world...that's why the author thought there wouldn't be any cats in the book. But they can't get out of the book. Moonpie pushes on the edge of the page, but that doesn't work. Then they try jumping and they pop right up in your face--but they are still stuck in the book. I like it when a book pops up at you.
Then they wish really hard and YOU get to help them wish. IT worked! They send a postcard from somewhere on their trip & it's in the book. When they come back they bring a surprise:
Today's tip for CaCHuPs (Cat Children of Human People): It is nice to have a cat friend (or brother in my case). Humans are ok to play with sometimes, but they get bored quickly. If you are an only cat, find some way to request a friend. Some silly humans think cats LIKE to be alone. They probably wouldn't know a mousie if it bit them!. Cats do like some alone time, but nothing compares to a good game of feline volleyball with a Daddy or a supersonic chase through three floors with a brother. Sharing a litter box is a small price to pay.
