Moonlight walks all over the neighborhood and sees an owl (neat!) which seems to be a large bunny eating sparrow. She stars in a pond and a bat...Daddy Trent does no like bats. I have heard him say so. They look like flying mice, so I will wait until I get to play with one before I rush to judgement.
In the end, Moonlight is also happy because someone dropped a piece of candy...I am glad that she is sitting inside a house in the picture where she has the treat in her mouth; hopefully her human took it away from her! Small human's candy is not good for kitties! I prefer my treats to come in bags with kitties on the outside.
I liked Moonlight's story well enough, there wasn't much of a story...it was kind of a list of things anyone can see on Halloween. I mostly liked the illustrations by Melissa Sweet. They were just what I imagine being a free kitty would be like! I want to be free to walk all over whenever I want, but the Daddies say it is too dangerous. Small humans would probably like it too. Best read in October.
Today's tip for Cat Children of Human People (CaCHuPs): Humans eat a lot of weird things. I have licked a piece of this "candy" stuff and I do not see what the draw is. Daddy Trent has a special canister of it. I don't even think it smells like food. I DO like lettuce which is another weird thing humans eat. You really should try it. It's kind of like broad flat grass...or crunchy water. It's fun to whack around the kitchen and when Daddy Tim or Trent wiggle it in front of my face, I can't resist chomping on it. It's easier to eat than grass and doesn't repeat on you! Try some.
