There's the human bed, but he's told to shoo...and the closet, but it's full of shoes (kind of like the bedroom--full of shoos).
But there's one more room he hasn't checked...the den where he finds a little human and curls up in its lap.
I am glad he finally found a place to nap! Poor thing searched all day. I would have gone right for the lap in the room with the fireplace, but he's young. He hasn't learned where the good sleep places are yet.
I like this book well enough. The rhyme (which is what Daddy Tim calls it when the lines sound alike at the end...and when he reads it sounds kind of songish) seemed not to work in places...but Daddy Tim reminded me that people from England talk differently than my Daddies do. I really liked Catherine Walters's illustrations. The kitten in the picture (aside from being ever so attractively orange) was very cat like in his movements. She must have kitties. I think little Humans would like this book especially at nap time.
Today's Tip for Cat Children of Human People (CaCHuPs): You know your humans are weird. They get all panicky when a bug gets into the house. Don't they know bugs are one of the cheapest forms of entertainment? I have chased flies all summer outside and in. They are fun to chase, but hard to catch since they fly. Ants are too small to be much fun...but every once in a while there is a cricket in the basement. Now that's some quality entertainment! If you find one, you can chase it and bat it and it's like your favorite toy only you don't need a human to wiggle it to make it interesting. My Daddies want me to catch the bugs that get in, but they never let me play with them. Meanies. Tip summary: bugs are fun.
