Little bunny Jack gets a strange present from his parents. Sometimes it's silly, sometimes it is quiet, sometimes it won't play, sometimes it wrecks the house. It's a Zack in the box with a goofy-scary clown face and he has friends in the box with him (supposedly sillier Mack and a whole pack of ducks). When a lamp gets broken, they thankfully collect broken lamps and have a new (identical) lamp so Jack's parents won't find out.
I like this well enough and can recommend it to some. There are better in the series ("Little Mouse Gets Ready" by Jeff Smith: FAB-u-lous) but there are worse ("Barry's Best Buddy" by Renee French: just slap you're kid, they'll like that more) If you are looking for something like this to try you can't go wrong with "Elephant and Piggie" series by Mo Willems...but your kid is probably already asking for those. But for something different, Jack's strange tale can be a fun mind expander.
