Since it's a holiday weekend, Mr. Tim is taking a short holiday from Children's Literature to give you a top ten of his favorite adult novels. These are books I have read multiple times (in some cases) and still love... Nothing much new, eh? Well, I mostly don't get a lot of opportunity to read the big boy books these days. Animal fantasy, magical realism, dark fantasy, thrillers, horror, feminist science fiction...all over the map genre wise, but all good! Check these out if you can find them!

I started writing this at Facebook, but your little comment box just looked so lonely, that I changed my mind.

Red Dragon is great (was I the one who made you read it? Do you remember me telling you I picked it up because it scared the FBI Agent who lived across the street from my parents). YOU HAVEN'T READ GATE TO WOMEN'S COUNTRY?!? Robbie, it is made for you! A good portion of the book is the (imaginary) play "Ipheginia at Ilium" a reworking of "The Trojan Women." It's one of her best books. I just reread "Elementals" and nearly put that instead of "Blackwater" I wish he'd written more. Thanks for the comment :-) I miss you!
