I don't read a ton of Young Adult fiction and usually not the uberpopular stuff. Most of the new YA titles I come into contact with are either because of recommendations or they were sent to me to review by Kirkus of VOYA (Voice of Youth Advocates). These are my current favorites. A couple might even look familiar to you from this blog...and a couple others might make another appearance. One I read in high school. One I nominated for the Newbery. Several I read in grad school. And a few I reviewed elsewhere...All good reads. · Boy Meets Boy by David Levithan · I Am Not A Serial Killer by Dan Wells · Across the Universe by Beth Revis · Dawn Palace by H M Hoover · Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry by Mildred Taylor · Darkangel by Meredith Ann Pierce · House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer · Shades Children by Garth Nix · Don't Turn Around by Michelle Gagnon · Freedom Maze by Delia Sherman |
